I just read something that said the average woman was 5’4 and 140 lbs.
I guess that makes me average.
:)
Short update of my life ~

It has been a long couple of weeks. Time to take care of myself again.

Had to screenshot it.
Robbin’ disneyland.
Dem minnies tho.
Starting to dig my darker hair. And the natural look.
Also, I can’t rep the west side properly.
I suck.
Goodnight.

Christopher loves making before and after pics of me.
About a 10 pound difference.
It is always interesting to see how I keep changing.
And I’m going to continue to, for the better.

Extreme heat = lack of makeup. And pants.
My thrifted prom ~
Well, just the dress. But that’s where the beauty lies!
Last year I spent over 500$ total on prom. Dress, shoes, accessories and such. THIS YEAR, I spent a tiny fraction of that.
Because it wasn’t my senior prom, I knew I didn’t need to find the perfect dress. But alas, I just happened upon it! One day I was thrifting and I just decided to go to the dress section. I looked through the dresses with none of them worth picking up. When I was just about to leave the section, I reached over for a second longer and looked at the black dresses. And there it was. For $9.99.
Christopher wanted to DIY/Customize our prom, so we decided to spike things. :) We just bought gold spikes and spiked his bow tie, my shoes, and my clutch. It was a nice bit of edge to our otherwise classy outfits.
So,
The dress was $9.99 from Thrift Town.
Suede/leather strappy heels - BRAND NEW - $9.99
Black silk and feathered clutch - BRAND NEW - $5
Spiked ring - BRAND NEW - $2.80
Total ~ 28$
To put this into a better perspective, Christopher spent more on his velvet bowtie than I did on my outfit!

While I’m aware that I was lucky in my find, it’s easy to see that you don’t have to spend a bunch of money to look like you did. :)
I more than fell in love with my look for prom this year. I hope you guys are a little more willing to look to thrift stores for your prom~
Today was fun. Good food, good people, good drinks.
But my favorite part of it all was my extensive conversation with a french man. He moved here a few weeks ago from France. Living in southern France most of his life, he eventually moved to Paris for work. He’s full vietnamese, has a very thick French accent, and liked to point out how much bigger things were in the US. He was a senior designer in France, and sent his portfolio out to Germany and the US, getting job offers from both. With only a week to decide between the two, he decided to take the job offer in the US, because he wanted to experience something aside from European lifestyle. Long story short, he tried to express in his very broken English and French accent, that life wasn’t about staying in one place and just continuing on a routine. It was worth him picking up his life from a great job, apartment, and everything he has known in his life, to move to the US for the first time and submerge himself in a whole new world. He had what most people try to live for and achieve their whole lives, and he knew that it was “worth the risk” to let it go and see how things went elsewhere. He is amazing. He’s now a Junior designer somewhere in San Francisco, where he is currently trying to adjust himself to a new place, language, attitude, people, job, portion size, and just about everything else. With the mind set he has, I’m sure with time he will do just fine.
And I got to drink with this amazing individual.

Your mouth is as dirty as your wiener.
